EAAG and Inyathelo Institute Agree on a Partnership

The East Africa Association of Grantmakers (EAAG) and the South African Institute for Advancement- Inyathelo have agreed to establish a partnership that will see them collaborate to advance objectives of mutual interest. A meeting between the two organizations and attended by the respective Chief Executives, resolved to forge a working partnership that would see EAAG benefit from the professional expertise of Inyathelo in organizing Philanthropy Awards. Other areas of collaboration are joint capacity building/ peer learning events, exchange programmes between the two organizations and sharing of information and research. The partnership will also see the two organizations promote the South-East relationships.

Inyathelo is a South African organization that advances the culture of philanthropy aimed at strengthening local civil society and promoting democracy. The organisation offers resources, training and capacity building to nonprofit organisations, particular in relation to fundraising, organisational governance and their overall long-term sustainability. Inyathelo also aims to increase corporate and individual social giving through promoting dialogue, sharing information, and providing support services to facilitate sustainable philanthropic ventures that have lasting impact.
