Will be awarded to an individual or family with a record of exceptional generosity who through direct financial support has demonstrated outstanding civic and charitable responsibility, and who encourage others to take philanthropic leadership roles in communities.

Award for Individual Philanthropy
Award for Reporting in philanthropy
This award will recognize journalists or media houses that have outstandingly and consistently covered philanthropy work resulting in increased visibility and thereby impacting the energy around and momentum for philanthropic work in the region.
Award for youth in philanthropy
Recognizes service by an individual or group of young people below the age of 30 who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the community by pioneering creative ways of addressing development or social issues through direct financial support, development of charitable programs, volunteering, leadership and the cultivation of a young generation of philanthropic leaders. Nominees must be below 30 years old at the time they are nominated.
Community Philanthropy / Community Impact Award
Recognizes private or community foundations or community grantmaking organizations that provide financial support, inspiration, encouragement and motivation to nonprofits and Grantmakers alike – as well as developing innovative approaches to philanthropy.
Corporate Philanthropy
To be presented to a corporate organization with an independent foundation or trust that displays an outstanding commitment to philanthropy not only through its financial support but also by encouraging and motivating others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community involvement activities. The foundation or trust must be an independent institution with its own endowment fund
Faith Based Philanthropy
The outstanding Faith based philanthropy award will be awarded to a faith based philanthropy that demonstrates outstanding commitment to philanthropy not only through its financial support but also by encouraging and motivating others to take leadership roles in philanthropy and community involvement activities
Family Philanthropy
The award seeks to recognize a family foundation that has demonstrated outstanding commitment to philanthropy through direct financial support and who encourage others to take philanthropic leadership roles in communities. It is a direct reflection of the philanthropic work across generations within a family.
Jury Chairman’s Award for Philanthropic excellence
This award will be decided by the jury and extended to a person or an organization that has exhibited extraordinary performance in offering philanthropic services to a much needed cause that impacts the less privileged, the vulnerable and neglected sections of the community. It could be in the area of HIV/AIDS, Child/Women abuse etc. The Award should not overlap with the other awards-it should not be pre-stated or pre-defined, but must be defined by the judges during the scrutiny of the available data.
