Tom Were is the Programme Director and Deputy to the Chief Executive Officer at Kenya Community Development Foundation (KCDF). He is responsible for the Programme Development and Resource Mobilization strategies at the foundation. He is fondly described as the sort of person who takes programmes like a duck takes to water.
He holds a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management (Moi University School of Business and Economics), a Bachelor of Commerce from Catholic University of Eastern Africa, a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management and a Diploma in Management Information Systems. He has exemplary development work experience of over 12 years with Private Sector and Enterprise Development Organizations in ICT, Environment, Business Development Services and now Integrated Community Development.
Prior to his appointment at KCDF, he held various positions as follows: Programme Officer with Forest Action Network for 2 years and Head of Enterprise Development Programmes at Kenya Gatsby Charitable Trust for 6 years.
