Felix Mutua currently works with the Aga Khan Foundation as the Regional Programme Officer for Civil Society based at the East Africa Regional Office in Nairobi. He manages the Foundation’s Civil Society portfolio in East Africa comprising diverse components including: promoting CSO competence and standards; enhancing Government-CSO collaboration; enhancing collaboration between CSOs and private sector, among others.
He is an experienced development practitioner with over 17 years experience in the design, implementation and management of a diversity of Multi-sectoral programmes in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania, with 11 years spent in senior programme management. He has previously worked across several sectors including: Livelihood Security, Human Rights, Policy Research, Emergencies, Grant making and Philanthropy with several development agencies. He has also previously done a stint as a private development consultant.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
Felix holds B.A (Hons) and M.A Degrees in Sociology. His core skills include, among others: project cycle management; strategic and operational planning; resource mobilization, proposal development and reporting; organizational development; grants management; partnership development and management.
