Board Member - Ms. Beatrice Mgaya, CEO, Social Action Trust Fund, Tanzania

Beatrice Mgaya serves as the CEO of the Social Action Trust Fund (SATF), a Tanzanian Trust, dedicated to supporting Most Vulnerable Children in Tanzania.

Prior to joining SATF, Ms. Mgaya worked as an Accountant with Capital Finance Ltd (subsidiary of Tanzania Development Finance Co.Ltd) and later served as Finance & Administration Manager with Capital Properties Ltd (Subsidiary of CDC, UK). Earlier on she worked with Swissport and SGS-Societe le Generale (Tanzania- Country Office) as Senior Internal Auditor and an Internal Operations Manager respectively.

Ms. Mgaya also serves on the Boards of Population Services International (PSI) Tanzania and Executive Grants Committee for Tanzania Education Authority.

Academic Brief

Beatrice Mgaya holds a B.Com degree (Accounting major) from the University of Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania and an MA in Community Economic Development from the Open University of Tanzania. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a number of other professional certification including, Strategic Frameworks for Non-profit Organizations (SFNO) certification and a Performance Measurement for Effective Management of Nonprofit Organizations (PMNO) Certificate from the Havard Business School in USA.
